Golden Boy CEO Oscar De La Hoya believes, WBC silver lightweight champion Ryan Garcia will surpass everyone from the promotion when it’s all said and done. Hailing the 22-year-old’s superstardom, De La Hoya bills him to have the best career amongst his other contemporaries.

Although ‘KingRy’ still has a long path to cover, he has already alarmed the lightweight unit with his constant dominance. That said, he is not just an elite champion but also a global sensation who grabs attention with whatever he does.

He is seemingly the biggest superstar that Golden Boy promotions have right now since Canelo Alvarez has already parted ways. Thus, Oscar De La Hoya touts the youngster as an entertaining boxer.

It is no surprise that Garcia deserves all the attention since he has proven his caliber to be an A-lister. The boxing promoter connected with Sirius XM to shed light on several scenarios of the sport. While he was asked to pitch his opinion on the unbeaten WBC silver champion, De La Hoya has offered some glorious words.

He said, “Ryan Garcia is gonna have the biggest career ever, [more] than any fighter we’ve promoted in the past. He has this ‘it’ factor. Ryan Garcia is the equivalent of a Brad Pitt, an Elvis Presley, an Oscar De La Hoya, all wrapped into one.”

Garcia will fight for the WBC Interim lightweight belt against Luke Campbell in the coming days. Earlier, the fight was scheduled to happen in December, but Campbell has been tested positive for COVID-19. As a result, the fight was postponed.

In early 2021, Garcia will aim to become the WBC interim champion and secure a fight against the champion Devin Haney.
