The American boxing stalwart, Ryan Garcia, has risen to superstardom in no time. At just 22 years old, he’s considered one of the blazing talents with a glorious future.
On January 2nd, 2021, he will take on Luke Campbell for the interim WBC lightweight title. What’s more, he has expressed a desire to take on another star boxer in Gervonta Davis following his upcoming battle.
Lately, he was in a conversation with talkSPORT.com, shedding some light on Gervonta Davis as a probable opponent. Garcia admitted, “Actually, I’m gonna be quite honest, I wanna fight Gervonta next. That’s who I want. I wanna take on that man.

“Everybody’s scared, everybody fears something about that man. And to me, it’s gonna be as easy as anything. That’s who I’m coming after, big, bad ‘Tank’ – the man who hits so hard, the man that crushes people’s face in.
“That’s the fight that I wanna show everybody who I really am.”
He promised to put on a show against the resilient Davis and cemented himself as the best young-generation boxer from America. Garcia has the biggest profile among all the young talents, and he is keen on building on it.
‘‘It’s a gamble, like everybody says, the man hits hard and we’ll see in the ring,” he concluded.

Ryan Garcia vs Gervonta Davis, a fight on the cards for 2021?
Of all the young American boxers, Ryan Garcia and Gervonta Davis have topped the fans’ charts right from the start. With their sublime skill sets, both have stayed undefeated in their pro-boxing run. Still, many boxing enthusiasts believe they need to settle it once for all to be the face of American Boxing.

Once Garcia gets past Luke Campbell, he will unquestionably be in contention to take on the ‘Tank’ Davis. His post-fight callout on January 2nd will be extremely vital. The duo colliding in early or mid-2021 will be a treat to watch.
