Ryan Garcia Responds to Gervonta Davis’ Doping Allegation: ‘I Don’t Even Take Supplements’

The Gervonta Davis vs. Ryan Garcia super-fight is getting more and more interesting with each passing day. The former took to Twitter recently to comment about a picture of Ryan Garcia with Tim Tszyu. Davis went on to accuse Garcia of ‘cheating’ and mocked DAZN for not treating the testing process seriously.

Gervonta Davis and Ryan Garcia are expected to lock horns in 2023. Ahead of that, both of them have been engaging in online banter.

Davis recently mentioned, “No funny sh!t. If I find out he’s cheating, it’s going to be a problem and it’s going to be more than boxing problems.”

Moreover, he even stated, “He never looked that big before. He’s definitely on something. Sh!t DAZN already proved they don’t care about testing.”

Not too long after this, Garcia responded back in a Tweet, “I don’t even take supplements.”

As he has done numerous times previously, Davis later deleted his Tweet. He had brought up DAZN in reference to the recent scandal involving Conor Benn testing positive for the substance clomifene.

Meanwhile, Garcia added in a different Tweet that he would be open to taking part in any tests that were necessary.

Ryan Garcia vs. Gervonta Davis: A battle for supremacy 

This clash is expected to take place in Las Vegas in 2023, and it could be the biggest fight of the year. Not too long ago, ‘The Baltimore Prodigy’ revealed that he would face Hector Luis Garcia on January 7th, before taking on Ryan. Following that, even the latter made it public to face another opponent before his big fight with Davis. However, his opponent is not been revealed yet.

Furthermore, the boxing fraternity is eagerly waiting for the Gervonta Davis vs. Ryan Garcia clash. Showtime Sports President Stephen Espinoza stated,

Both contestants are at the top of their careers and have never suffered a defeat. However, whatever winning streaks they had previously may come to a stop in this battle. Davis, a more experienced boxer than Garcia, is known for his devastating blows. Contrarily, Garcia is both taller and quicker with his punches than Davis is. Even with these factors, the outcome of this contest will have to wait.
