23-year-old Ryan Garcia was earlier on track to fight Javier Fortuna on July 9. However, he pulled out of that fight because of mental health struggles. While he received a lot of pushback from fans and other fighters as well, there were also many in the boxing community who supported Garcia.
Now, word on the street is that Ryan Garcia is looking to make a comeback to the ring. He is even stirring things up on social media. Garcia has been going back and forth with Joseph (JoJo) Diaz and Devin Haney on Twitter.

“I’m feeling way better now, I feel good, my mind’s in a good place. So we’re ready, we’re ready. We’re going to be fighting Joseph Diaz Jr soon, 95% (confirmed).”
“He’s going to get caught with a shot sooner or later, he doesn’t really have that good defense, he has punches but not good punches, so I’m probably going to cut him up and knock him out. I’d say about 5th round right now, it’ll take a little bit to soften up the pinata,” said Ryan Garcia.
Ryan Garcia has his eyes set on an even bigger opponent
If anything, Ryan Garcia is always extremely confident in his abilities. In all previous pre-fight interviews, he has shown no signs of fear or a lack of confidence. His confidence is on another level right now, as he already knows who he wants to fight after getting past Diaz.

“Nothing is ever light work in the sport of boxing, so I definitely will be going into it like he’s (JoJo Diaz) a great fighter, it’s like fighting ‘Tank’ or something. I’ve been chasing that fight (Tank) for so long, he’s always going to be there, I’m hunting him down.”
He then looked straight into the camera and spoke to ‘Tank’ directly – “After this fight, let’s get it on, let’s give the people what they want, pay-per-view, and just kill it, I’ll make you rich and then I’ll continue my great career.”
