LAS VEGAS, NV – APRIL 18 – Ryan Garcia at the Gervonta Davis vs Ryan Garcia Grand Arrival at the MGM GRAND in Las Vegas,
Ryan Garcia is about to fight Oscar Duarte on 2 December, and Deen the Great can’t stand it! Or he just wants some attention. Who knows? ‘King Ry’ will enter the ring for the first time since his first career loss at the hands of Gervonta Davis. So, he recently turned to social media in an attempt to promote his upcoming clash. While the post successfully captured public interest, it also drew attention from Deen the Great.
The YouTube boxer, promoted by Misfits Boxing, clashed with Walid Sharks in a prior Misfits Boxing event, winning the fight via unanimous decision. In a surprising twist of events, the 4-0 influencer boxer called out Ryan Garcia and ‘Tank’ Davis, giving light to a potential rivalry. While Ryan did not respond to the challenge, the Tampa native gave a cheeky reply to Ryan’s recent Instagram post promoting the upcoming fight.

After the post went live on the platform, it collected excited comments from fans. However, Deen the Great quickly came across the post and tried to troll Ryan. “My son,” wrote Deen the Great in the comment. With that out of the way, the Ryan Garcia vs. Oscar Duarte fight isn’t a pay-per-view event, but the question is – why?
Garcia doesn’t want to rob his fans
Even though Ryan lost the fight against Gervonta ‘Tank’ Davis, the fight itself drew massive attention from the boxing world. To put things into perspective, the event sold more than 1.2 million PPV buys and generated $22.8 million, give or take, from ticket sales. So, fans and pundits alike wondered why Ryan was fighting in a non-PPV fight.

While appearing in a recent interview with Fight Hype, the Victorville native claimed it would not be a great idea. More importantly, it would be robbing the fans. “Because that’s dumb. That’s robbing the fans. This is a high fight. This guy’s good, but he’s only known to boxing fans,” said Ryan. He went on to suggest that there is no reason for the fight to be a pay-per-view event.
