Jake Paul and Ryan Garcia are two of the most talked about young boxers in the community right now! So, the duo seems to have come together to take the excitement to a whole new level. And guess what? ‘King Ry’ has weighed in on Paul’s recent weight gain for the Mike Tyson fight, encapsulating it in just two words.

‘The Problem Child’ and ‘Iron’ Mike are set to clash at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, on July 20. Leading up to the bout, much attention was on Paul’s lighter weight, with doubts cast on his chances. However, Paul surprised many by unveiling his newly bulked-up physique on social media, catching Garcia’s eye, who discussed it during the latest episode of BS w/ Jake Paul.

Even though Jake Paul’s new physique failed to intimidate Mike Tyson during their press conference in Arlington, Ryan Garcia was impressed with Paul. Speaking about the same, Garcia said, “It looks like you [are] carrying the weight good… You don’t look that on the face either.” The Problem Child then revealed that he downs milk every day in order to pile on the weight. Garcia then summed up Paul’s weight gain effort in two simple words: “Jacob Thickums.”

It’s worth mentioning that Jake Paul tipped the scales at 200 pounds for his previous two fights against Ryan Bourland and Andre August. However, in preparation for the bout against Tyson, who typically fought at 220 pounds, Paul had to pack on additional weight, reaching 230 pounds—ten pounds heavier than Tyson.

If the weight wasn’t enough, Paul also has the age, height, and reach advantage going into the fight. However, if Tyson’s resume is any evidence, these attributes haven’t affected the ‘Baddest Man on the Planet’. So it would be interesting to see what happens when these two enter the ring. In the meantime, Mike Tyson has commented on his own body!

It’s no secret that not everyone is on board with the idea of 58-year-old Mike Tyson fighting 27-year-old Jake Paul, with many even condemning the whole thing. However, the question is, what does Tyson feel about the age difference? During their last press conference, Ariel Helwani brought up the same issue, questioning Tyson about his thoughts.

In response, Tyson quipped, “I am beautiful. What else can I say?” When pressed further, Tyson revealed, “I am doing great, but my body is s**t right now.” There are two possibilities: either Tyson is keeping his true strategy under wraps, or Paul might have a genuine shot at victory. However, Tyson’s recent, intense training videos cast doubt on his claims of not being fully prepared.

As Jake Paul pulls all the stops to ensure a victory against Mike Tyson, his weight seems to have earned him a new nickname from Ryan Garcia. However, will Paul’s strategy to put on the weight for a heavyweight fight and be heavier than Tyson work?
