It is common for athletes to face setbacks and suffer defeats in the world of sports. However, it is uncommon for athletes to show resilience and remain ambitious after a major defeat. Ryan Garcia, despite his recent defeat, appears to be as confident as he was before. On 22 April, ‘KingRy’ was handed the first defeat of his career by Gervonta Davis in Las Vegas via a stoppage in round 7. Not to mention, he was knocked down in the second round and outclassed in many other rounds.

After a brutal defeat, one may speculate that the boxer would be inclined to fight winnable fights to retain his confidence. However, that is not the case with Garcia. Recently on Twitter, the boxer called out Teofimo Lopez, Rolly Romero, and Isaac Cruz as his potential opponents for his next fights. All 3 potential opponents pose a style that can present problems for Garcia. His comments are quite bold; subsequently, the tweet garnered opinions from the fans.
