Ryan Garcia is one of the biggest lightweight boxing sensations in the modern era. The young gun, in a short span of time, has charmed many boxing lovers and has only looked to capitalize on the attention he has received. However, for the past few months, Garcia has been out of the limelight. Despite that, he has been active with his life outside the ring.

Although he isn’t fighting or doesn’t have a fight on the horizon, he has the ability to remain in the news. Recently, he made it to the headlines when his documentary, 30 Days with Ryan Garcia, got nominated for Real Screen Awards 2022.

Garcia last fought Luke Campbell in January for the WBC interim lightweight title. Campbell, a supremely skilled technician, was expected to give Garcia a rugged test. He did so and landed a knockdown on ‘King Ry’, becoming the first boxer to do so. However, the internet star collected himself, and he landed a blistering body shot to finally conclude the fight in round 7.

Post this fight, Garcia was lined up for a couple of bouts, but he pulled out of them pertaining to some mental health concerns and his recent injury.

When will Ryan Garcia return to the ring?

After his cracking win over Luke Campbell, boxing purists expected Garcia to stay active and fight for the WBC lightweight title. However, to everyone’s surprise, the WBC stripped the belt off Garcia due to inactivity.
