Former WBC interim lightweight champion Ryan Garcia is ready to take up a step up in competition to face WBA regular lightweight champion, Gervonta Davis. The two long-time rivals will finally square off against each other on April 22 in one of boxing’s most highly anticipated matchups. Both fighters are touted as two of the best heavyweights in the world and in one of the rarer sights in boxing we can see the two meet in the ring.

Although Davis comes in as the favorite coming into the fight, this won’t be an easy outing for him in any manner. In an interview with FightHype TV, ahead of the fight, Celina was asked how she thought Garcia would perform based on his previous bouts. Celina then stated that she was confident in her boyfriend’s ability and that the fight would go exactly as he predicted.

“Everything that Ryan says is exactly what’s gonna happen. I don’t doubt it I don’t think anything else that’s exactly my best opinion. I can say. Naturally, we’re rooting for team Ryan,” she said.

The 24-year-old has already predicted that he would finish Davis in the second round and it seems that his girlfriend is also going with a second-round KO. However, this is easier said than done, ‘Tank’ being one of the netter KO artists in the division. Despite this, Garcia is willing to give all his efforts to beat his arch-nemesis.

In another interview, Garcia stated that he would not go down as easily as other fighters who have faced Davis. He added that he was willing to put his soul into beating ‘Tank’ and would even give up his life for it.

“I willing to risk my soul for this. I’m ready to risk my life. One thing I can definitely guarantee him, it won’t be easy,” Garica said. This fight promises to be a spectacular event for boxing fans around the world. Moreover, both fighters being locked in ahead of the match only adds to the hype around the rivalry which will reach its climax on April 22.
