Savannah Marshall and Maria Lindberg put on a boxing classic for their fans around the globe. The pair kept one and all on their toes right from the first bell of the fight. But, Marshall, the abrupt favorite in this fight, claimed an easy knockout win over her fellow adversary in the third round.
The lanky champ, Marshall began this fight on a pleasant note and was the sheer oppressor from the beginning. She even scored a vicious knockdown in round two and subsequently knocked Lindberg out in the next round.
The veteran, Lindberg, went down and didn’t quite gain a vertical base after that. The 44-year-old tried to cut the distance and land her hits, but she couldn’t find any success in the same.

On the other hand, the undefeated Marshall put her brilliance to the test yet again and proved her mettle in this enigmatic title defense. This was the biggest, perhaps the most important win of her career.
The moment the fight began, ‘Silent Assassin’ walked Lindberg down with her swift movements and constant punches. Her power was too much to handle for the veteran, and that was clearly evident in this short yet sublime title fight.
With a gratifying win over the Swedish boxer, Marshall secured her first title defense and improved her immaculate track record to 10-0.
