Renowned comedian and actor Kevin Hart recently shared a candid and emotional account of his life-threatening accident on a recent episode of Logan Paul’s podcast. The accident, which occurred in September 2019, left Hart hospitalized and facing a long and challenging road to recovery.

Injuries can be detrimental to a person’s life with Paul knowing firsthand what it is like to be in Hart’s position. Back in 2022, ‘The Maverick’ suffered a torn ACL and MCL and had to undergo a long recovery process. Moreover, during the Impaulsive episode, Hart revealed the physical and mental struggles he endured.

During the interview, Hart revealed he was hospitalized for 14 days after the accident. He also expressed his gratitude for the support he received from medical professionals and highlighted the importance of having a good team.

“I was in the hospital for 14 days. They wanted me through a rehabilitation in hospital. You know as a guy who prides himself on being physically fit, when you have no control over your body and your seeing your body is going back to ground zero, the trust in who you’re gonna attach yourself to get you back up to the space of good, is important,” he said.

Hart got serious when he was asked how he felt after the accident. The comedian would then recount the moment when the realization of the accident struck him, causing a profound shift in his perspective.

Hart’s journey to recovery was not without its difficulties. The physical limitations he faced and the emotional toll it took on him were immense. He recalled the everyday tasks that he had taken for granted which suddenly felt like challenges. Unfortunately, Something as simple as putting on a sock or even lifting a bowl became challenging and reminded him of the fragility of life. Moreover, the experience also served as a powerful wake-up call, prompting him to appreciate the things he had previously overlooked.

Scary is an understatement. I remember it got to the point where like you have to like light the bulb off oh f**k. Like the things that you don’t really think too much about (but) when you can’t do them anymore it’s catastrophic. You know I’m talking, taking a sock on and off, I’m talking about putting the belt on, lifting up the bowl. Like the things you just do and you have no idea the mindset of how fortunate you are. It’s a real f***ing shell shock,” he said.

Despite all the challenges he faced, Hart demonstrated resilience and determination throughout the process. With a newfound appreciation for the capabilities of his body, Hart worked tirelessly to regain his strength and mobility. Now, he is in better shape than ever and also has an appreciation for life.
