“See if You’re Really the Pound-for-Pound Best”: Jake Paul Issues a $2 Million Challenge to Katie Taylor

Boxing has seen a considerable evolution since its inception, and now even celebrities involve themselves in this sport, making the biggest fights happen. A prime example of this would be American Youtuber Jake Paul, who has become the face of celebrity boxing. In a very short span of time, he has made a name for himself. Apart from boxing inside the ring, he has also promoted boxing fights.

He wrote, “We have $2million for Katie Taylor to come down to 126lbs. Katie Taylor – why don’t you come down to 126lbs, go against Amanda Serrano in that weight? She came up to fight you. Come down to 126lbs, see if you’re really the pound-for-pound best.”

The world witnessed the biggest fight in women’s boxing history as Katie Taylor and Amanda Serrano squared off inside the ring on April 30. Jake Paul had stepped up to promote Serrano at the time. He recently called out Taylor for a potential bout with Serrano. 

Apparently, Paul wants Taylor to come down to 126lbs, as last time Serrano had made the changes in her weight. He even offered $2 million for the same to her. Meanwhile, the first battle between the female boxers was a rather magnificent clash. Taylor won the bout in front of 18,000 fans in the arena. Let’s see if Taylor accepts the challenge to fight Serrano again. 

Jake Paul vs. Hasim Rahman Jr. can be seen on DAZN in the UK 

The Paul vs. Rahman fight has been making a lot of buzz since its announcement. Earlier, Paul was supposed to face British rival Tommy Fury, but the latter pulled out of the fight saying he is facing visa issues to enter the United States. But now the fight is set to happen, and fans are extremely excited as Paul will fight the toughest opponent of his short boxing career.

Fans in America can watch the fight on Showtime pay-per-view, but the UK fans were still not clear where to watch the fight. However, Paul recently revealed that fans in the UK and Ireland can watch the event on DAZN.
