Anthony Joshua reveals Fury’s weird request
“He said, ‘Don’t lose to Kubrat Pulev!’ I said, ‘That’s something silly to say.’ He said, ‘Have you got to fight Usyk?’ I said, ‘Look, Tyson, when me and you can get a fight together, we don’t have to worry about Usyk. See you next year!'” said Joshua to SkySports.
Joshua and Fury have agreed on a contract in principle to face each other in two fights next year. However, there might be a few fights that could delay the bout with Fury.
Joshua is set to face his mandatory challenger, Kubrat Pulev, soon. Also, Usyk is Joshua’s WBO mandatory challenger.
Fury is also heading towards the trilogy bout with Deontay Wilder. The Gypsy King dominated the match, however, the bronze bomber activated the trilogy clause immediately.
A fight against Fury will certainly be the biggest fight in Joshua’s career. This will give both fighters the chance to unify all the belts in the division.
Tyson Fury has looked unstoppable since his comeback and has amassed an unbeaten record of (30-0-1). Joshua has also achieved a lot. However, he did have that shock loss to Andy Ruiz, which exposed his weaknesses.
This fight is surely going to be a closely contested affair. Both fighters are excellent technical boxers. Moreover, Joshua and Fury can generate a lot of power and are very dangerous.
