Mike Tyson has all the respect and admiration in the world for Michael Jackson. In a recent episode of Hotboxin’ with Mike Tyson,’ the former heavyweight champion sat down with Prince Jackson. During the episode, Jackson revealed many unknown stories about his father. Meanwhile, Tyson, on the other hand, was simply awestruck after reminiscing about living in the era of, the ‘King of Pop.’

Apart from that, Jackson talked about living a life away from the public limelight but no longer hiding his identity. That being said, many still know him as the son of the legendary pop star. In the podcast, he and Tyson discussed what he needed to do to come out of his father’s shadow. So let’s wait no further and dive into their conversation.

Can Prince Jackson come out of his father’s shadow? Mike Tyson answers with a startling response

Jackson is one of the most influential figures in the world of entertainment. 14 years after his death, his influence is felt even today. Moreover, Jackson has made a name for himself in his own right. That being said, it would be fair to say that he has not come out of his father’s shadow yet. This leads to a question, What would he have to do to be recognized for his individuality?

This question was raised during the podcast and Tyson had a definite answer. Given the influence of, the ‘King of Pop,’ he asserted that Prince would have to be president multiple times to match the legacy of his father. He stated, “Explain that to me. How is that going to happen right? What he is gonna do? Become president 10 times? No, I am serious.”

Meanwhile, Jackson responded by unveiling his childhood. He claimed that his father wanted him away from the limelight and did everything in his power to make sure of that. Additionally, in the same episode, Tyson does not shy away from making it known that the late pop star was a lot more influential than him.

Tyson compares his influence with that of Michael Jackson

‘Iron Mike,’ is one of the most famous and influential figures in the sport. However, his popularity pales in comparison to Jackson and he is aware of the same. In front of Prince, he stated, “It can be bigger than god complex. That sounds all good but we were all in the 80s that’s when everybody was big. We all mean,  we all knew we weren’t bigger than Michael that’s just the real.”
