But things weren’t the same while he was an amateur. Before turning professional, Stevenson entered 61 amateur contests and suffered 6 losses.

The New Jersey native began his amateur career in 2011. In his first two fights itself, Stevenson ended up on the losing vertical. But he got back on track with two wins in a row. Later, he experienced a setback when he again suffered a loss after his two wins.

However, he collected himself again and worked on his aggressive fight skills. As a result, he kept winning every fight. Years later, in 2015, he contracted two more defeats. Regardless of the highs and lows in his amateur career, ‘Fearless’ always had his vision set on learning from every boxing bout.

He did the same in style and always remained proactive to figure out his mistakes. That said, he kept taking more and more fights, thus keeping a highly active amateur stint. Finally, in 2016, Stevenson lost his last amateur fight at the Rio Olympics. Subsequently, he turned professional in 2017.

The southpaw boxer displays a highly aggressive fighting style, and this has worked wonders for him until now.
