Ryan Garcia is so good, even Shakur Stevenson had to acknowledge it! In a recent pinch, the Victorville native donned a sensei’s hat as he took it upon himself to teach former UFC interim welterweight champion Colby Covington how to effectively throw a hook! The update comes after Ryan Garcia shocked the world with his performance against Devin Haney in New York.

Since then, ‘The Flash’ Garcia has been flooding his social media accounts with content to ride the wave of his roided-up popularity. In one such X post, Garcia shared a clip with Covington, teaching the welterweight the intricacies of his iconic left hook that helped defeat Haney. However, as soon as Garcia’s rival Stevenson chanced upon the clip on X today, he had rare praise for the 25-year-old.

Yesterday, ‘KingRy’ shared the clip in a now-deleted tweet, but in true Garcia fashion, he didn’t miss the opportunity to take a jab at ‘Chaos’ Covington. He wrote, “Always good doing charity work Hahahab Jk Colby pretty fire night keep punching.” However, later the same clip was picked up by Happy Punch, who circulated it further, attracting Stevenson’s commentary.

After discovering the clip, the Newark native pointed out, “Funny thing is this goofy n***a showing him some good s**t.” As for Covington, he has managed to keep things interesting by evolving his striking abilities throughout his career, but still, his ground game is the MVP in most of his fights. Taking the opponent down to the ground and capitalizing on his wrestling and grappling skills has won him the fights.

While there, Garcia’s fight with Devin Haney came up, and he seemed all praise for the boxer’s acting skills. “I was like, wow.
