Shakur Stevenson and Jamel Herring’s highly-anticipated clash stood tall to the mammoth expectations created around it. Both the men went all guns blazing against each other and they truly got their best versions inside the ring. However, Stevenson had an edge over his adversary as he attained a vital T/KO win in round 10.

The fight began well for the champ, Herring, as he was able to distance himself from Stevenson due to his lanky frame.

The duo showed tremendous hand speed in the first round itself, and they effectively employed their jabs. Stevenson looked to target Herring’s body, whereas the champ looked for slick counterattacks.

Both of them used the entire ring space to move around and cut the distance. Stevenson looked desperate to land a shot, and he struck ‘Semper Fi’ with a couple of left hooks on the body. As the rounds progressed, ‘Fearless’ turned aggressive, and he went ahead with straight lefts and jabs.

Citing Stevenson’s approach, Herring went on a back foot and tried to decode the undefeated fighter’s style. While doing so, the champ got hit with some power-packed left hands.

‘Fearless’ maintained a good punching accuracy, and he even landed a barrage of punches on Herring in round 3. At one point, it seemed as if the young gun would finish Herring with a T/KO. However, he couldn’t do the same.

Herring tried to reverse the tables by marching ahead in the later rounds. But that didn’t stop Stevenson from going toe to toe with the champ.
