Terence Crawford has solidified his welterweight run by staying undefeated in his extensive career. He possesses the most flashing resume at the 147-pound landscape. The last time he entered the ring was against Kell Brook, where he bagged a gratifying win and defended his title successfully. The ‘Bud’ has many ecstatic matchups at the welterweight roster, but the one that excites everyone apart from Errol Spence Jr. is the fight with Shawn Porter.

Recently, the young boxing prospect, Shakur Stevenson, was in a chat with Fight Hype. There, he talked about this matchup and how he envisions this fight going.

Shawn Porter is a fighter where he gives a lot of people problems. But in my opinion, style made fights, and Terence’s style is just a really bad style for Shawn Porter,” said Stevenson.

Stevenson admitted Porter is a sturdy boxer who’ll land enough punches on Crawford. But the ‘Bud’ has all the abilities to dictate every second of the fight if he ever confronts Porter.

According to Stevenson, Shawn Porter is not a tough opponent for the undefeated Crawford. Because, in his previous fight, Crawford beat Kell Brook with ease who beat Shawn Porter in 2014.

The young gun of boxing favored Crawford in terms of the stylistic matchup against ‘Showtime’.

Crawford currently holds the WBC silver welterweight strap and is keen on tracing his pathway to be the champion again. On the contrary, Crawford has a WBO belt to his name, and he has massive title unification plans.

Their promotions haven’t spilled beans on this clash, nor the two fighters. However, a 12-round bout between the two might get staged in the later half of 2021 or 2022.

What do you make of Stevenson’s comments? Will you be excited to see a fight between Crawford and Porter?
