On November 20, two of the best welterweights of this generation, Terence Crawford and Shawn Porter, will square off with each other. In this fight, Crawford will defend his WBO welterweight strap and will look ahead to competing with even more fierce contenders ahead. Meanwhile, Porter will look to pull off an upset and leave the ring with the WBO gold.

Ahead of the fight, the pair was supposed to meet at a pre-match press event. Unfortunately for the fans, Crawford didn’t attend this event for undisclosed reasons.

Given the absence, Porter couldn’t hold himself back from taking a jibe at ‘Bud’.

Taking it to his Twitter, he wrote, “Heard Bud wasn’t able to make it on with the media today. Some say that’s a 10-8 rd for me… also heard the 1st press conference was a 10-9 rd for me….. MORE RDS TO COME!”

In his last outing, ‘Showtime’ beat Sebastian Formella to claim the vacant WBC silver welterweight title. However, he has yet to return since August 2020. That may have been due to the fact that he was waiting for a title shot as the silver titleholder. Porter, who has now gotten this opportunity, will look to make the most of it.

‘Showtime’ marches his opponents down, throwing his best shots to break his adversary’s rhythm. He will look to do the same against Terence Crawford. As Porter is a former champion, he will have the ability to provide ‘Bud’ with a stern test.

However, the 37-0 boxer is no accidental champion and has made a career by conquering the best on offer.
