‘T-Rex’ Claressa Shields has claimed all the super welterweight titles by outpointing an undefeated Marie-Eve Dicaire in their recent headlining collision. Both the women dragged it to the last bell and left everything inside the ring. However, it was seemingly a lopsided show from Shields, who outstruck her opponent thoroughly.

Although she couldn’t deliver a knockout as promised, it was still a sensational performance coming from the ‘GWOAT’. But Claressa Shields has claimed that she faced several wrongdoings in the clash, including head butt and elbow strikes. The undisputed 154 lbs champion spoke about it and put the blame on Marie-Eve Dicaire in the post-fight interview.

“Yeah, 90  of 100, I am kinda mad about it but you know she just kept headbutting me, elbowing me, and I was trying to get the knockout. That’s what I really wanted, and I almost had it a couple of times but you know we got two minutes And then, we got the ref breaking up the fight abut 30 seconds when she was holding, f*** elbowing me and stuff,” said Shields.

Meanwhile, Shields was happy to have her fans’ support in an all-women fight card. With no major broadcasters in support, Shields managed to pull off a big event and bagged a historic win for herself. She is now the first boxer to have become undisputed in two weight classes. But it would have been sweeter with a knockout on board.

“I am happy, but I still wanted the KO,” said the ‘GWOAT’.

What’s next for Claressa Shields?

While she is already a boxing elite, Shields will also make a move to the MMA world. The Olympic gold medalist has signed a deal with PFL and is training at Jacksonwink MMA alongside martial art bigwigs like Jon Jones, and Holly Holm.

She is one of the very few fighters to have made the bold transition and on bagging a win, Shields would further become an iconic female fighter, and not just a boxer. ‘T-Rex’ dreams to be a champion in MMA, and only time will tell whether the ‘GWOAT’ can attain it.
