Ryan Garcia is at again. He has opened fire, but this time he has thrown a gauntlet at Ishe Smith, challenging him for sparring. The tensions are soaring between the two, and the American boxer wants their verbal warfare and animosity to settle inside the boxing ring. So, he has pitched the idea of sparring. What exactly did he say?

Garcia, 25, and Smith, 45, have been at each other’s throats and, more often than not, have unleashed brutal verbal bombs at each other. The situation has worsened since ‘KingRy’ received a one-year ban, and he has since been using his X handle liberally. Most recently, the two even clashed on Instagram live, where the former IBF junior middleweight champion openly criticized Garcia’s skills and boxing acumen. And the latter was also not a man to hold back.

After a clash of words, the Victorville native called out Smith for a sparring session. However, he already set the conditions, 8-ounce boxing gloves and no headgear. He wrote on his X handle, “@IsheSugarShay If you are serious about running the fade you can come to Miami and you can come see me in the ring and we can spar with 8oz no headgear. And we will see who’s really with it. If not shut your mouth and enjoy your retirement.”

Whether Smith accepts Garcia’s challenge remains to be seen. But ‘Sugar Shay’ also knows how to pull some choice words, as he hit back at Garcia. What’s more? He has called out the lightweight boxer for his shenanigans on social media.

Ishe Smith calls out for help for Ryan Garcia

Smith, at 29-11, turned his X handle and admitted that he initially wondered that Garcia’s handle was run by others. But that’s not the case. He continued, “Dead a*s immma be honest some of the off the wall sh*t that has come from @RyanGarcia and his X handle I literally thought he had people running it for him. I was like why is he letting people make a fool of him. Now that I see it’s really him, that kid needs serious help.”

This post didn’t escape the 24-1 record holder’s attention, as he replied and again stressed his desire to run a fade or settle it inside the ring. While Smith didn’t cast a verdict on the challenge, he pointed out the root of Garcia’s theatrics. The former world champion believed only enablers backed Garcia, which was the problem.
