Anthony Joshua was one of the most consistent and dominant heavyweights until he faced Oleksandr Usyk this year. The Ukrainian boxer outclassed the Brit in a jam-packed Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. With this, Joshua also lost his hard-earned heavyweight titles and now he’s looking to regain his position at the peak.

Speaking to talkSPORT, he said, “As a fighting man, he has got to fight Usyk,”

“He’s got to right that wrong and win back the belts that he handed over to Usyk.”

“As a commercial man, he is in a very difficult bind because he is going to get beat by Usyk again, and even if he steps aside to let Usyk fight Fury on the chance he gets to fight Fury after Fury deposes Usyk, he is going to get beat by Fury.”

“He is going to put himself at a career-ending position if he loses to Usyk again, because he has got nothing to bring to the table besides a once big reputation.”

Joshua, a few months back, had visited the United States, and he met the bigwig coaches like Ronnie Shields, Eddy Reynoso, and more. The former champ is more than desperate to get back his career on track and he knows the importance of a rematch with Usyk holds.
