“It’s a S***-Show” : Dana White Launches Into an Explosive Rant on Boxing

UFC president Dana White launched into an explosive rant on the current state of affairs in boxing. Speaking to legendary promoter Frank Warren, White labeled the sport as a ‘S***-show’ possibly due to the various politics and complications the sport brings.
“Instead of diving in headfirst, I’ve been taking my time and it seems the more the sport continues to go on, the more f–ked up it becomes. I thought I knew, but you don’t really know until you’re in how f–ked up the sport really is. The sport is a sh-t-show. It’s hard to articulate to you how messed up this thing really is.” said Dana

“The Sport is F***** up” – Dana White
White had planned into getting into boxing under the Zuffa Boxing umbrella, but with his recent comments, this seems to be a distant reality.
Both Warren and Dana agreed that boxing should look at the UFC for inspiration, for matching the best fighters. Despite the criticism, Warren pointed out that fights such as
Deontay Wilder vs Tyson and Dubois vs Joyce is heading in that direction.

Frank Warren, however, was steadfast in defending the sport. He pointed out than boxing hosted the biggest events regularly, with the athletes amongst the highest paid in the world.
Moreover, Warren supported the decision of hosting the fight in the US saying it had a ‘feel-good’ factor about it.
“It was great working with Top Rank, Al Haymon’s company (PBC) and MTK in getting the whole thing together and I’m looking forward to working with them in the future.” Said Warren

With boxing currently uncharted waters for Dana White, only time will tell if Dana decides to take the plunge into boxing.
