He took to social media and uploaded a picture of him knocking out Trevor Berbick, straight from 1986. It was a historic day for the sport as 20-year-old Tyson continued to terrify his contemporaries by knocking out Berbick for the WBC belt.

In the caption, he wrote, “Slay the day the Tyson way”.

35 years later, ‘Tyson vs Berbick’ for the world title fight is still regarded as one of the biggest bouts in the sport’s history. It began the stellar journey of Tyson which remained unscratched for the next four years until James Douglas KOed ‘Iron’ in a shocking upset. Nevertheless, Mike Tyson could have one of the most successful in-ring careers.

But he suffered severe controversies in his personal life that turned him into the most infamous celebrity of that time.
