The much-awaited boxing thriller between Jake Paul and Ben Askren is inching closer. Ever since its announcement, this fight has turned into a hot topic. Fans across the globe have desperately waited to see the two rivals take each other on.
Not only fans, but many bigwigs of boxing have expressed their curiosity to see Paul and Askren take up the ring space.
Recently, lightweight king Teofimo Lopez gave his own take on this fight and picked Ben Askren as his favorite. Speaking to NEXGEN Sports, he said, “I’m rooting for him (Askren) to win.”

Talking about the support Askren is getting from the combat sports fraternity, he said, “Good for him, he deserves it, man. Go out there and do it now! You know, go out there and show it.”

Teofimo Lopez even gave a shocking prediction about this fight. “Somebody’s gonna drop,” he said.
The feud between Askren and Paul began when the latter scored a gratifying win over the ex-NBA star Nate Robinson. The ‘Problem Child’ called out several hotshots from the MMA universe and ‘Funky’ was on his checklist too.
Past few months, both Askren and Paul have taken wild verbal shots at each other. More than anyone else, they are desperate to give each other a stern outing on April 17.
