Reflecting on Garcia’s training thus far for the Haney fight, Sean highlighted, “He’s having fun in there. He’s training hard, and I’m excited for this fight.” He especially emphasized that Garcia is feeling a lot different because “he really got to focus on his skill set and his game plan instead of focusing on losing weight and keeping it all the way low.”

When probed about Garcia’s actions on social media, Sean seemed a bit evasive, as he said, “I mean, Ryan’s Ryan, and he’s going to do what he’s going to do.” Highlighting that Ryan is a grown man, Sean said, “I don’t know what he was going through, but he was speaking [the] truth.”

Since the announcement of the Haney fight in Brooklyn, New York, the Victorville native has been going through a whirlwind of emotions. Back in March, Garcia broke down in tears while creating a TikTok video for his supporters. In the clip, Garcia said he has been going through a lot lately, but support from his fans helped him get through it.

Despite his intentions to do good for the community, Garcia suggested people are trying to silence him and even tried to cancel his fight against Devin Haney. “I was trying to do something good, you know… I love you guys. And I appreciate every one of you guys. And I love all you guys,” said Garcia as he ended the clip.
