Son of Legendary Boxer Admits Biting His Opponent Like Mike Tyson

Chris Eubank Jr. and Liam Williams faced each other in one of the most anticipated boxing matches of the year. While everyone was excited about the match, no one would have expected what happened in the match. Both fighters finally faced each other on February 5 and put forward impressive performances.

British Professional Boxer Chris Eubank Jr and Welsh boxer Liam Williams stepped inside the jam-packed Motorpoint Arena in Cardiff to settle some past scores. ‘Next Gen’ dominated the fight from the initial rounds. He knocked ‘The Machine’ down in the first round with a lethal uppercut.

However, while Williams managed to fight back and had his moments, it was Eubank Jr, who ended up winning the fight via unanimous decision.

While the fight was epic in its own right, the moment that shook everyone was Eubank Jr’s biting his opponent. This incident reminded everyone of the time the legendary Mike Tyson had done the same.

Speaking about the incident, Eubank Jr. said, “The amount of headlocks and headbutts… He put his arm around my neck and his glove was close to my mouth, so I gave it a bite as hard as I could. If he’s gonna fight dirty, I’m gonna fight dirty.”

The epic battle between Evander Holyfield and Mike Tyson took place at the MGM Grand Garden Arena on 28 June 1997. This rematch was named ‘the sound and the fury” prior to the fight and later was branded as “the bite fight”.

Both fighters competed for the WBA heavyweight title. However, in the third round of the bout ‘Iron Mike’ bit Holyfield’s ear, which became the most controversial moment in boxing. Eventually, ‘The Baddest Man on Planet’ was disqualified from the fight for bitting Holyfield twice in the 11th round.
