The recent Floyd Mayweather vs. Deji fight saw the unbeaten boxing legend square off against a far less experienced YouTuber. Moreover, fans were also certain about Mayweather’s victory in the fight. But, there was also a lot of drama revolving around the fight. In fact, Deji even revealed that he was tricked by Mayweather.

Mayweather faced Deji at the Coca-Cola Arena in Dubai on November 13, 2022, for an exhibition showdown. And Mayweather went on to win the fight via a 6th-round TKO.
In a recent video, Deji went on to claim that he was tricked by Mayweather and his team. He said, “I had people from the Money Team. Floyd’s team being like, bro Deji, Floyd just wants to go in there and just have a little fun with you. He’s not gonna hit you hard or anything. I promise. You have my word on that bro.”

Deji was also told that when he got into a clinch with Mayweather, he could ask Mayweather to relax. And he will go slow on him.
He further continued, “I remember I clinched him and I’m like bro relax. And you know what he said to me? Shut up, I’m Floyd Mayweather. I do what I want.”

Deji was taken aback by Mayweather’s statement. He went on to attack the champ with full force and even ended up giving him a black eye.
Fans react to Deji getting tricked by Floyd Mayweather
Deji’s statement about Floyd Mayweather tricking him did not sit too well with fans. In fact, a lot of them took to the comments to take a dig at him for the same.
User Corn Pube did not hold back from saying, “There u go it’s not a real fight it’s all a money scheme.”
Meanwhile, My First ASMR video said, “So in other words it was set up to make Deji look good. But Floyd decided not to go with the script.”
Another user named Darrow Moore called out Deji for complaining. The user said, “Imagine getting a play fight worth millions. And complain cuz you got hit too hard by a guy who smaller than ya.”
Similarly, SIRMEL was sure of Deji’s loss against Mayweather. He said, “Dude you wasn’t going to beat Floyd. So saying you went in to take it easy ok fine so what were the results when you ‘actually’ started fighting.”
In the same vein, Kamil Jaworski said, “He was holding back. He was humiliating and toying with you all the time, showing his superiority over you. If he wasn’t doing that, you wouldn’t even hit him once.”

However, he found some support from fans.
User Harry Smith said, “Congrats on the black eye. I can see the happiness in you. Be proud of yourself.”

Daisy Nash said, “Deji we’re so proud of you!!! Last minute change and yet you still powered through it.”
Similarly, Ria said, “Deji, super proud of you. You should be so proud of how well you’ve done.”
