Floyd Mayweather, a legend of boxing and now a multi-million dollar businessman, often has to rub shoulders with celebrities from various backgrounds. In a similar situation, the former four-division champion found himself being buddy-buddy with a reformed criminal and a motivational speaker, Charleston White

White went from being a teenage gang leader, arrested for his juvenile transgressions, to a motivational speaker, YouTuber, podcaster, and much more. Today, however, when ‘Money’ Mayweather shared a picture with White on Instagram, the boxing world was left feeling a certain way about the pair-up.

A few hours ago, the richest boxer in the world shared the snap with a caption that read, “I want to thank  [Charleston White] for stopping by [Girl Collection] and supporting our new champagne, [LE BON ARGENT].” Girl Collection is a gentleman’s club based in Las Vegas, owned by the former boxer.

Meanwhile, in the picture, Mayweather and White can be seen posing together with a bottle of Floyd’s branded champagne while standing in Floyd’s bar in Las Vegas. Whether for White’s criminal past or for his controversial takes on a variety of subjects on social media, fans absolutely hated the idea of Mayweather rubbing shoulders with White.

Fans take shots at White

As much as Floyd is loved by his devoted fans, he also had many who wouldn’t miss any opportunity to criticize him for his flashy and flaunting persona. However, White towered over Mayweather in terms of receiving scathing responses for his presence in the snap. One user blatantly asserted that sharing the frame with the reformed convict isn’t a good look for Mayweather. “This ain’t a good look, Floyd,” the user commented.

Someone else warned Mayweather to stay away from White. The user wrote, “Champ, stay away from the fool. He gonna bring negative energy to you, lmao.”

Another user thought White may start trash-talking about Floyd once the latter leaves. “He look like he about to talk sh** about Mayweather once he leaves,” the user wrote. White may have earned this persona because of his takes on people or subjects.

One take at a time
