Former five-division world champion, Floyd Mayweather Jr, is one of the biggest names in boxing. Mayweather has awed the boxing fraternity and fans by being one of the most technically skilled boxers to set foot inside the ring. In comparison, his skillset as a boxer is undoubtedly unmatched. But he is also known for his multiple ventures outside boxing. And, it looks like he can add another skill to his awe-inducing arsenal. A recently resurfaced clip showed Mayweather showcasing his rap house.

Mayweather was a guest on Sirius Satellite Radio’s show Sway in the Morning, hosted by reporter Sway Calloway, and rapper Heather B. Moreover, this interview from 2013, saw him talk about his life career and, then, future fights. In conversation, Calloway announced that Mayweather will be rapping on the show. A surprised Heather B started with a freestyle verse. Mayweather quickly followed with a freestyle sampling about his career.
There is no denying that the champ sounded impressive during his performance. Meanwhile, a snippet of this was recently posted on social media. Mayweather’s daughter, Iyanna Mayweather, on the other hand, was impressed with her father’s rap skills and reshared the same as a story.

An account named @MenaceBoxing shared a snippet on Instagram with a caption that read, “RATE FLOYD’S BARS.” Fans took it to the comments section of the post with wild reactions.
Fans had contrasting opinions about the Floyd Mayweather freestyle
While a lot of fans were impressed with Mayweather’s freestyle. There were also a few who had contrasting opinions about the same. In fact, they took to the comments to share their thoughts.
A user named Richie Borges wasted no time in exclaiming, “Stick to boxing!!!” In the same vein, Coach Wil, also voiced dislike, saying, “S*cks. He is bored and don’t know what else to do with his time. Maybe learn new language.” Another user named Tariq Vasquez mentioned, “Floyd you too rich to be a rapper.”

However, there were a few fans who liked Mayweather’s freestyle. A user named KOR$ said, “Stayed on beat, cadence was decent. For a freestyle, it honestly wasn’t bad.” Similarly, $toney added, “That wasn’t bad lol, it’s a freestyle remember off the top of the head.”

Meanwhile, a few fans questioned the hate that Mayweather received. A user named Sean Don said, “Why y’all bashing this man in the comments? Clearly, he just having fun freestyling.” Additionally, Chris Silva mentioned, “Y’all hating on his rap skills. But he ain’t even a rapper lol.”
