At 23, Teofimo Lopez, the unified lightweight champion is already a global sensation. Looking at the rise of his pro career, it is much similar to that of Floyd Mayweather’s tale. Both Lopez and Mayweather have been successful in becoming one of the best in their divisions in their 20s. That said, Lopez can become the next PPV king of the sport.

However, he has already formed a tainted relationship with several A-listers like Floyd Mayweather and Deontay Wilder and cussed them on public platforms. Meanwhile, Lopez has also openly abused the CEO of Mayweather promotions on social media.

There is no denying that boxing promoters go through a battle of PPV sales. While boxers are always keen on putting on a show inside the ring, they also aim to be huge PPV draws for their promoters. A few days back, Lopez took shots at Wilder for justifying his loss against Tyson Fury. Although he has got nothing to do with the heavyweight division, Lopez still called Wilder a “bi***” and advised him to stop making excuses.

Leonard has turned to Twitter and hit back at Lopez. He wrote, “He not in no promo w that man and he’s not fighting him. Ok to disagree and have an opinion but geez.”

‘Takeover’ Lopez has also lashed at Leonard Ellerbe for supporting ‘The Bronze Bomber’. He left a stern and short response- “Stop being a bi*** to! Lol”

Thus, several fans have mocked him over the past few days, and world champion Lopez was one of them. ‘Take Over’ still stands by his statement, as he has also mocked Leonard Ellerbe for standing with ‘The Bronze Bomber’. What do you make of the same?
