These days, boxing is one of the most loved sports around the planet. The renowned Icelandic strongman, Hafthor Bjornsson, too, is a star who’s hooked in on the sport. He recently expressed his interest in fighting the boxing icon Mike Tyson.

Bjornsson was all set to face the British strongman, Eddie Hall, on September 18 in an exhibition bout. But Hall injured himself out and went out of this contest. In his place, the Icelandic strongman will lock horns with Devon Larratt, a Canadian arm-wrestling stalwart.

However, Bjornsson’s vast interest lies in facing ‘The Baddest Man on the Planet’. Talking exclusively to SunSport, he said, “If Mike Tyson would want to fight me, I wouldn’t say no.”

Mike Tyson is still the most loved boxing star on the planet. The world has witnessed his capabilities inside the ring, and his power was one to watch for.

Moreover, in the 1990s era, ‘Iron’ Mike placed himself as the scariest heavyweight of all time. And till today, no heavyweight boxer has been able to match him.

Citing that, Bjornsson, who’s a novice to the boxing universe, knows what Mike Tyson is and how important he is to the sport. Consequently, his aspiration to fight ‘The Baddest Man on the Planet’ shouldn’t shock anyone, as anyone new to the sport would like to announce themselves by fighting the former heavyweight great.
