Tyson Fury successfully defended his WBC heavyweight title against Dillian Whyte with a boxing masterclass. Fury put on a thunderous performance in front of 94,000 fans at the Wembley Arena. The Body Snatcher fell to the canvas after a cracking uppercut from Fury.

How did Tyson Fury knockout Dillian Whyte?

The Gypsy King shed light on his thought process during the fight and how he slowly wore down the body snatcher with nonstop jabs. He elaborated, “I didn’t wanna bring it up too early because he was preparing to block the straight and I started touching him there touching him to the body with the uppercut to the body, and then I just slipped aside and bang! Beautiful peach.”

Tyson Fury went on to explain that he didn’t want to make the same mistakes he did against Deontay Wilder. He said, “I didn’t want to get involved in a brawl, trading punches like I did against Wilder. I wanted to keep me distance, use me range.”

The 33-year-old capitalized on the same weakness of Whyte that Anthony Joshua did as well. Both heavyweight champions put Whyte to the canvas with an uppercut.

Dillian Whyte’s dirty tactics against Fury

Dillian Whyte had his hands tied, as Tyson Fury did not let him past his constant jabs. Due to this, Whyte resorted to the dark arts. He tried playing dirty. Whyte tried to play rough and manhandle Fury. The WBC heavyweight champion hilariously responded, “But you know I have never tried wrestling with a dinosaur before. I’m like a T-Rex in there, six-foot mine 270 pounds.”

Fury explained how Whyte tried everything he could to cheat, but ultimately succumbed to ‘The Gypsy King’s right hand. According to Fury, “He was using the forearms trying to elbow me. When you try and cheat in a fight, you always come up second best.”
