Boxing fans were at the edge of their seats in anticipation of the upcoming Jake Paul vs Hasim Rahman Jr. showdown. However, much to the dismay of fans it was announced that the fight has been canceled. It was also reported that Rahman Jr. backing out of the fight was the reason for its cancellation.

Most Valuable Promotions shared a tweet announcing the cancelation of the bout. They mentioned Rahman Jr. backed out of the official agreement to come in at 205 lbs. And, also stated that he wished to fight at 215 lbs.
Moreover, they further announced that the other fights on the card have also been canceled and that refunds have been initiated.
First Tommy Fumbled and now Hasim Rahman Crumbled. These boxers are the most difficult people to work with and continually lack professionalism and confidence to fight me.

Meanwhile, Paul expressed his disappointment at the cancellation of the fight. He further mentioned that his opponents lacked the professionalism and confidence to fight him.
Additionally, he apologized to the other fighters on the card and to his team and partners.

He also went on to post a few videos mentioning that he was devastated about the development. He also detailed the entire ordeal while also apologizing to his fans.
Chris Eubank Jr wishes to fight Jake Paul
Jake Paul received a lot of support from the boxing fraternity and fans alike after the cancelation of his bout. In fact, former two-division world champion Chris Eubank Jr. stepped in with an interesting proposition.
Fumbles & Crumbles are not ‘boxers’ they are guys who put gloves on every now & again for clout… no different to you. I’m fighting in a couple months but I can squeeze you into my schedule next week & save your show if you have the heart to get into the ring with a REAL boxer.

Eubank Jr. began by saying that Tommy Fury and Rahman Jr. were not ‘real boxers’. Meanwhile, he also challenged Paul to a fight by asking him to step into the ring with a real boxer.
Boxing Fans show their support for Paul
Boxing fans were upset by the rather unfortunate turn of events. Moreover, many fans took to social media to extend their support to ‘The Problem Child’.
They agreed to 205 and now Hasim wants it to be 215… 7 days before the fight. Jake didn’t do anything wrong.

Not sure how people can be against Jake on this one…casual boxing fans clearly…Hasim didn’t make weight its as simple as that! He wants to fight at 215lb and Jake is at 190lb thats a 25lb (11.5kg) difference

I wanna hear both sides but it sounds like Hasim had issues with the stipulations. If he was going to try to keep making changes and shit he shouldn’t have signed the contract. Feel bad for the fighters on the undercard, they don’t have shit to do with this.

However, Rahman Jr. also found support from users. Many users felt that Paul was scared to face a pro boxer and also stated that they wished to hear Rahman Jr’s side of the story as well.
