The unified lightweight kingpin, Teofimo Lopez, is all charged up to enter his first major title defense. In no time, the Brooklyn native has risen to the peak of the 135-pound division. In his last fight, Lopez crucified the Ukrainian Vasyl Lomachenko in a sheer 12-round tussle. With this win, he made a statement in the lightweight roster, thus becoming the unified champ.

In fact, for his exemplary performance, the ‘Takeover’ won The Ring Magazine Fighter of the year award, and he will want to keep up his exemplary run in the sport to line himself up for the undisputed title fight in the future.
