Teofimo Lopez Sr. backed his son to become a world champion boxer and stands strong by him even today. While Lopez could embrace boxing from an early age, things were way tough for his ancestors.

Lopez was born on July 30, 1997, in Brooklyn, New York, and has been an American since birth. He very proudly represents his country, USA, by being an official citizen. However, his ethnicity goes to Spain and then Honduras.
