Speaking to Lance Pugmire on the ‘Pug and Copp’ show, Lopez gave his top five lightweights. Obviously, he was at number one. However, at number two he put Vasyl Lomachenko. Then followed it up with, “3,4, and 5… Devin, Garcia and then ‘Tank’.”

This will surprise fans for different reasons. Since his victory over Lomachenko, Lopez has been quick to criticize him but yet has him as the second-best. Furthermore, he has openly trashed Haney before, but has him ahead of Garcia. Finally, he put highly rated Davis at 5.
However, Lopez explains his choice of ‘Tank’ at 5. He said, “The reason why I say ‘Tank’ is last because he hasn’t fought enough at ‘35. He just started going up because he’s too fat to make 130 and then he made 130. Good for him.”
Although, many would love to hear why he put Lomachenko at number two.

Teofimo Lopez says Ryan Garcia and Gervonta Davis should fight
Lopez talked about the potential Garcia-Davis fight and said it should happen “They’ve been talking about it for years now. Same way me and ‘Loma’ been talking about it for years. We’ve been talking about it so that fight should definitely happen for the fans,” said Lopez.
“I think it will be a good fight, intriguing fight, and I think that, definitely man, me and ‘Loma’ did our part, now it’s time they do their part, and then we make the fights happen more.”

So Lopez thinks that if that fight happens, it will pave way for more fights in the division. Furthermore, given the fact that he called Davis ‘fat’, we could see it escalate.
Therefore, it is possible that if Gervonta Davis fights Ryan Garcia and wins, we could see him fight Lopez too. What do you make of Teofimo Lopez’s list and where would you put Davis?
