Teofimo Lopez Reveals How a Meeting With Floyd Mayweather Landed Him in Snoop Dogg’s Rap Video

Achieving success and fame is not an unfamiliar prospect for the 23-year-old Teofimo Lopez. Although his recent win for the unified lightweight straps has made him one of the sport’s legitimate superstars, ‘Take Over’ Lopez seems to have enjoyed a similar aura back in his teenage.
Today, the world champion is one of the most reputed faces in the sport and is close to umpteen superstars. However, over a decade back, a young Lopez was thrilled when he found a place in Snoop Dog’s rap video.
In interaction with Fight Hub TV, Lopez recalled how he met Floyd Mayweather for the first time when he was just 11. That said, the meet-up landed him at Snoop Dog’s shoot, and the champion reminisced about the same.

Lopez said, “It was during the time I met Floyd for the first time, and during that time Floyd was, and still is one of the major guys in the game, and I got to meet him and then we had someone that had a connection over there, that they were doing the music video the next day.”
The unified champion added, “And after I got to meet Floyd, the next day we went to this mansion up in the, I don’t know if it’s Malibu or something man, it was big and I just go and we go, and they are just shooting. I can see the guys, I can see Snoop.”
Meanwhile, the tables have turned and Lopez is also a superstar now. With an unbeaten ride of 16-0, the champion is in line for even bigger fights ahead.

Following a massive win over Vasyl Lomachenko, Lopez will stage his first title defense against George Kambosos Jr. Meanwhile, the fight will also put Lopez’s star power to the test as he has bagged a lucrative $6.02 million purse from Triller.
