The 16-0 fighter spoke to FightHype.com and said, “Yea, I would like to [link up with Alvarez] you know. I would like to. I just want to make sure that, you know, at the same time, on our end, we’re also all good.”

The ‘Takeover’ then added, “I don’t want to interfere in his training, you know. I don’t want to interfere with his camp. Come in at one day, he’s probably sparring and needs everything quiet, you know.”

Therefore, this comment showed that Lopez would join Canelo Alvarez’s training only if it matched their respective schedules. However, the prospect of Lopez sparring Alvarez would be exciting for fans across the world.

Alvarez knows all about becoming a young champion himself. In addition, he has had a successful career since, and thus, has the experience required to stay at the top.

Therefore, if Alvarez can impart that experience to Lopez, it could help him solidify his spot at 135 lbs. What do you make of these comments from Teofimo Lopez? Do you think he needs to link up with Canelo Alvarez?
