It’s shocking for the fans to see Teofimo Lopez test positive for Covid-19 ahead of his title defense against George Kambosos Jr., which was scheduled to happen this weekend. Triller Fight Club was ready to go down with a stacked fight card, with Lopez vs Kambosos Jr as the headliner.

However, the entire event will now take place on August 14, and it has come as a disappointment to the boxing world. Triller’s official Twitter handle shared the news, and June 19 will now go down without a ‘Take Over’ Show.
The entire @triller @trillerfightclub team, @myketowerspr @meekmill @farrukoofficial @lunaypr1 & Gente de Zona wish Teofimo a quick recovery. Our June 19 Lopez vs Kambosos Jr. fight along with the undercard and music performances have been postponed to August 14. pic.twitter.com/c4engRkI4S

Lopez’s Triller debut has suffered its second derailment now. It was initially set for June 5. However, as Floyd Mayweather was set to box Logan Paul on June 6, Triller shifted their event to June 19. Unfortunately for boxing fans, the unfortunate news of Lopez’s health conditions has postponed the date again.

That said, boxing fans can still keep their eyes on the television screens. WBC middleweight champion Jermall Charlo will defend his belt against Juan Macias Montiel in a PBC PPV on June 19. Besides, Top Rank will host Naoya Inoue‘s WBA (Super) and IBF bantamweight title defense against Michael Dasmarinas.

If that’s not all, former UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva will also appear on the night. He will take on Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. in a boxing scrap. Also, Julio Cesar Chavez Sr. will face Hector Camacho Jr. in an exhibition. Well, that still doesn’t fill the void left by Teofimo Lopez. Meanwhile, there’s more than a month until we see Triller Fight Club unveil the event. Here’s a look at the full fight card.
