In the post-fight press conference, Crawford addressed the Spence Jr. fight juncture. He also shed some light on why Bob Arum won’t be able to secure his fight against ‘The Truth’.
“Bob [Arum] couldn’t secure me the [Errol] Spence fight when I was with him, so how is he gonna secure me the Spence fight when I’m not with him? I’m moving forward with my career.” he said.

A few days back, boxing bigwig, Teddy Atlas, broke the news of Crawford leaving Arum’s Top Rank Promotions. Over the past few months, things didn’t go the way they were supposed to between Arum and Crawford. That said, many expected the pair to iron out all their concerns. But ‘Bud’ took the giant stride of parting ways with the decorated boxing promoter.
With this, the door seems open for Crawford to collaborate with a new promoter or be a free agent for the coming while. However, Crawford has a vital opportunity now to book a fight with rival Spence Jr.
