Perhaps Terence Crawford was the most invested in the fight out of all the boxing personalities since Lopez kept calling him out in the lead-up to the fight. This could be seen from his relentless bashing of Teofimo Lopez on Twitter after the fight. He defended Ortiz’s defense skills in the ring, claiming, “People gotta understand the game is called “BOXING”and not “FIGHTING”!!!Hit and not get hit. But I guess a lot of yall don’t know what that means, because when yall see a fighter boxing the first thing yall say is he running.”

Shakur Stevenson, who was also criticized in his last fight, chimed in to give Lopez a taste of his own medicine. He told Lopez to accept his mistakes, just like Stevenson did after his match against Edwin De Los Santos. He stated, “That’s why I get paid what I get paid Teo cause I get on the mic and be real I don’t have to ACT for nobody.. And I’m not delusional when u don’t do yo best admit it and work on it in the gym my Guy.”
