Terence Crawford Stops Shawn Porter in Round 10, Defends His WBO Welterweight Title Once Again

Terence Crawford and Shawn Porter’s collision was one of the most awaited fights of 2021. That said, this bout fairly stood tall to all the expectations and hype created around it. Both the boxers fought like absolute stalwarts to allure one and all. However, it was Crawford’s night in the end as he came out on top to bag a classic T/KO win.

To everyone’s surprise, Porter began the fight on an aggressive note. He threw wild hooks and jabs on Crawford to put him on the back foot. But the champ defended his fellow adversary’s shots well. Porter was too fast in the initial rounds and it seemed clear that he was keen to pull off the upset.

Both the men exchanged some power-packed punches in round 2. Crawford made left hooks as his prime weapon, whereas Porter responded with some straight rights and body shots.

In round 3, Crawford maintained a distance with ‘Showtime’ and he looked to avoid a brawl. Porter struck Crawford with a mammoth right hook, but ‘Bud’ came back with some fiery attacks in the clinch. The challenger even suffered a cut above the right eye.

In round 4, Crawford connected some good shots on Porter, and his punching accuracy only improved. ‘Bud’ found his rhythm, and he utilized that to land some of his best shots on Porter.

The underdog, in the later rounds, came back strong to attack Crawford’s body and chin.

Both the men entered a brawl umpteen times, thus making their scuffle supremely entertaining.

Crawford and Porter exchanged a tremendous amount of punches while they were in a clinch. Both men connected well, and they seemed to pick out their angles with effective measure.

As time went on, Porter, came out with some blistering right hooks to stun Crawford.

However, the champ had his moments too. ‘Bud’ cut the distance well to land his left hooks on Porter. But, the latter seemed unmoved with the same.

Crawford kept moving ahead to overpower ‘Showtime’ with his straight lefts and hooks. The tussle between the two only got better. But, after several meaningful exchanges, Crawford finally knocked Porter down in round 10 twice, post which ‘Showtime’s corner asked to stop the fight.
