

Boxing fans are eagerly waiting for a potential showdown between Terence Crawford and the unified welterweight world champion, Errol Spence Jr. Meanwhile, Spence Jr. took to social media to call out Crawford after he commented about his ‘Texan’ status.

Crawford was talking at ‘The Porter Way Podcast‘, which was hosted by former welterweight world champion “Showtime” Shawn Porter. Additionally, Carson Merk and Anthony Brenagh were present as co-hosts at the show.
The group was talking about the potential fights in line for Crawford. Moreover, in conversation, Crawford mentioned that he has Jermall Charlo and Errol Spence Jr.. on his ‘hit list’.

As he was leaving, Crawford took the opportunity to call out Spence and Charlo for claiming that they’re from Texas. He said, “For all the people in the world that keep saying this Texas stuff, Texas stuff, Texas stuff. Spence is from New York City, and Charlo and his brother are from Lafayette, Louisiana. Stop saying y’all from Texas.”

Moreover, he also added that he was tired of hearing them claim that they were from Texas.

Spence got to know about Crawford’s statement and he took to social media to call him out. In an Instagram post, he said, “My guy said “hold up hold up I got something to say, Errol spence is not from Texas he is from New York”.

“New York birthed me, Texas raised me,” he further added.

Mike Tyson wants to see Errol Spence Jr. fight Terence Crawford
Former world heavyweight champion, Mike Tyson, had also expressed his desire to see the welterweights fight.

Mike Tyson was talking to Shannon Sharpe at an episode of the ‘Club Shay Shay‘ podcast. In conversation, Sharpe mentioned that fighters like Spence are more interested in staying undefeated than picking new fights.

Sharpe further asked Tyson if he wanted to see Spence fight Crawford. Tyson responded, saying, “Absolutely, and I want to see Errol Spence go up to 154 and fight Charlo brother too.”
