Ever wonder how keen WBC lightweight Devin Haney is to face the Unified Champion George Kambosos Jr.? A recent interaction during a media event between him and Jake Paul revealed the answer. Their conversation happened at the Amanda Serrano Vs. Katie Taylor press conference.

‘The Problem Child‘, who was part of the promoting team and one of the key figures at the media event, asked Haney about his much touted fight against George Kambosos Jr.

‘The Dream’ came up with a quick answer. He said, “We need to make it happen. It’s a huge fight for boxing. It’s probably that the boxing fans want to see the world wants to see. I am ready to do it.” 

Surely, Haney is determined to rumble Kambosos Jr for the undisputed throne in the lightweight division. Jake, who considers both Haney and George as his friends, gave a push to their fight.

He said, “I don’t know who is in charge of making this fight happen. You all [media] immediately send the message to George Bro. I’m friends with both of these guys, but that fight needs to happen. Let’s get it done.”

Notably, George Kambosos Jr. became the new star in boxing after outclassing Teofimo Lopez in the high-profile bout on November 27, 2021.

Haney and George recently indulged in a verbal beef on Twitter and exchanged several strong remarks.

Moreover, the fight between George and Haney is not confirmed yet. But their expressions show that they are on the verge of exchanging leather.

Jake’s message to George probably adds some fuel to the rumors of the probable rumble between George and Haney. One can hope for things to change, and the heated beef between ‘Ferocious’ and ‘The Dream’ may lead to the negotiation between their promoters.
