Lightweight elite Katie Taylor seems eager to test herself against multi-division Puerto Rican champion Amanda Serrano in a possible matchup ahead. Despite being undefeated between the two, Taylor has cited the outcome as a 50/50 chance.
Hence, ‘The Irish Bray Bomber’ appeared to acknowledge Serrano’s 42-fight experience and expressed her desire in a square off. She connected with Sirius XM boxing to shed light on several things. “I mean that fight was obviously scheduled a couple of times last year at some point. Obviously, it didn’t materialize for whatever reason, but I was obviously training for the fight a few times and believing that I was going to step into the ring against Serrano. But I would obviously love that fight,” said Taylor.
She added, “It’s obviously a fight that a lot of people would look forward to. She is a great fighter, and that is a genuine and 50/50 fight. I think so I would love that fight.”

Although Katie Taylor has been touted as the undisputed greatest female boxer ever, there are plenty who might challenge her resume. WBC, WBO, and IBO featherweight champion Amanda Serrano is one of them. She holds a pro-record of 40 wins, 1 loss, and 1 draw with 30 KOs under her name.
Meanwhile, Taylor, 17-0, has walked through the elites in her division. While Serrano might be her next adversary, Natasha Jonas is still a threat for ‘The Bray Bomber’.
Katie Taylor vs Natasha Jonas
Taylor and Jonas are two amateur rivals who will meet again at the pro stage. In their amateur bout, Taylor vanquished Jonas. Thus, the latter will have her chance to attain sweet revenge when they face-off in May.
