Josh Taylor became the first British boxer to become a four-belt undisputed champion. Fans regard him to be among the best, and many of them believe he’s as great as Terence Crawford and Manny Pacquiao. Taylor became the undisputed champion earlier this year after his win over Jose Ramirez.

In an interview with Behind The Gloves, Taylor sat down with Michelle Joy Phelps to discuss life after becoming the undisputed champion. “Not changed an awful lot, but in terms of like media stuff, it’s been quite a lot you know.

“The media attention has been quite a lot so I’ve been quite busy doing that the last couple of months so that led to me end up taking a lot more time off than I wanted to. But it was good, you know, I’ve enjoyed my time off.”

At present, ‘The Tartan Tornado’ remains one of the best fighters on the planet. Taylor routinely fights undefeated boxers, going into make-or-break matches, and breaks his opponents. His previous six opponents have a combined record of 136 wins and just one defeat before they fought Taylor.

The 30-year-old will now look to make big fights against the likes of Terence Crawford. Crawford, currently preparing for his fight against Shawn Porter, will be the perfect fight to make for Josh Taylor. Taylor tested the heart and grit of almost every boxer in his division, and not one of them came close to defeating Taylor.

Terence Crawford became the undisputed super-lightweight champion four years ago, before moving up to Welterweight and winning the WBO title. This fight will also be easy to make, since Top Rank promotes both fighters. Crawford remains undefeated in 32 professional bouts. However, the American has not had a single standout opponent in those 32 fights.
