“That Sh*t Going to Be Lame AF”: Fans Blast Floyd Mayweather for No Reason After Rumored Reports Go Viral Despite Boxing Legend Debunking It Days Ago

Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Manny Pacquiao shared the ring only once during their professional career. The fight generated the most PPVs in the sport’s history, just a symbol of how prominent the matchup of two icons was at the time. It is safe to say that the boxing world wouldn’t resist watching the two clash again inside the ring. And, with the crossover boxing scene, their clash would not be like any other clash. Their names were being echoed with the names of YouTuber turned boxer KSI and TikToker Salt Papi for a tag team match. But this tag team matchup will not be coming to fruition.

Even though the possibility of a tag team match involving the four was slammed. Fans are not going easy on Floyd Mayweather Jr. for the same.

Floyd Mayweather Jr. faces backlash

Recently, rumors of a tag team match were surfacing on the internet. As thrilled as the fans were to hear the news, their excitement was short-lived as Mayweather Jr. himself debunked the reports. The crossover boxing fans would like to see this clash inside the ring, but unfortunately, the former five-division champion does not seem interested in a tag team match.

The first-ever Tag Team match was held recently as the DAZN X Misfits event. The fans seem to have mixed reactions to this WWE-inspired boxing match format. As exciting and uncertain as this format is, it cannot be said that it will grow with the fans.

So, it is settled that the fans will not be witnessing any tag team matchup between Mayweather Jr. and KSI against Pacquiao and Salt Papi. But it is safe to say that crossover boxing is the new wave in the sport, and it has come a long way from when it started and still has a long way to go. The fans seem to have taken the news of the fight not happening personally and are still going harsh on Mayweather Jr.

Fans are not happy

For a user named Kane Kane, this is the dumbest thing. They wrote, “Dumbest Shit ive ever seen.”

Jay Stacks Dreadhead thinks that a tag team match cannot be done. He wrote. “How the fuck can you do a tag team boxing match that’s impossible. It will be very hard to judge. that shit going to be lame af.”

Meanwhile, a user named Rodrick Horton mocked the former champ and wrote, “Funny how Floyd have had more fights since he have retired.”

Ronnie Richardson wants Floyd to retire. He commented, “Mayweather please take you old self and for real RETIRE.TIRED OF ALL THE WASHED UP CLOWNS 

 YOU RUN FROM.”

Lastly, a user named Chris Isiorho wrote, “Mayweather will jump on anything KSI is involved in bcoz of his massive following.”
