Fury has achieved some great peaks in his professional boxing career. He was the first person to hand Klitschko a defeat. He repeated the same stance this year and became the only man to vanquish Deontay Wilder in-ring.  In the process, ‘The Gypsy King’ attained all the World titles of pro boxing. However, those accomplishments are still not plenty to gain Joshua’s respect.

Joshua, 30, sat down with Sky Sports and reflected his opinion over Fury’s legacy. According to Joshua, Fury has achieved some great wins, but he hasn’t been active throughout. Taking note of Fury’s notable wins, Joshua ruled them out for having long periods in between. Despite tagging Fury as a serious contender, AJ revealed that he is not afraid of him.

“He (Fury) hasn’t been in the deep end enough to show me he can swim there for a long time in my opinion.

As per reports, Fury will defend his WBC strap and relinquish his rivalry with Wilder with a concluding trilogy fight. The event will reportedly happen this year. After this, Interim WBC heavyweight champion Dillian Whyte is expected to earn his title shot. Thus, Joshua has to wait until the WBC heavyweight roster gets rearranged further.

However, that still doesn’t rule out a possible matchup between the Brit World champions. Promoter Eddie Hearn has expressed his interest in arranging the face-off a couple of months ago via social media. No wonder it grabbed a lot of eyeballs, but the speculations stopped after some time. Needless to say, apart from the technical point, ‘Joshua vs Fury’ can also grab major PPV sales, if materialized shortly.
