2021 turned out to be a decorated year for boxing as the fans got to witness some of the most prolific encounters of all time. While some fights ended with swift and brutal finishes, there were also some entertaining bouts that went the distance.

1) Anthony Joshua vs Oleksandr Usyk
This fight was expected to end in a flash, as the mighty Joshua was a favorite to triumph over Usyk with his power. However, the scuffle between the two turned out to be intense. Although Usyk had an upper hand in the fight, he still got rocked by the Briton in the mid-rounds.

In the end, Usyk managed to win the fight with a UD (117-112, 115-113, and 116-112).

2) Juan Francisco Estrada vs Roman Gonzalez
Roman Gonzalez was a favorite to win the fight, and he came in with a packed offense and defense. However, Estrada turned the tide in his favor by going toe to toe against his rival. Given the way both men were throwing punches, it was incredible that they lasted 36 minutes.

The judges gave the fight to Estrada- 113-115, 117-111, and 115-113.
3) Jaime Munguia vs Gabriel Rosado
This was the most rugged battle of 2021. Both the men fought like absolute warriors to smother each other. With their constant assault, Munguia and Rosado kept the fight leveled.

At one time, it seemed as if Munguia would attain a T/KO win. However, Rosado kept coming back to put his rival on the back foot.

Scoring 118-110, 117-111, and 119-109, the undefeated Munguia ended up winning the biggest fight of his life.

4) Devin Haney vs Jorge Linares
This was a terrific tussle between a young gun and a seasoned veteran. Haney, for a major chunk of the fight, was the oppressor. However, he got startled when Linares was about to drop him in round 11.
Despite that, Haney continued the fight, and he scored 116-112, 115-113, and 116-112 on the scorecards to win via UD.
5) Teofimo Lopez vs George Kambosos Jr.
Lopez and Kambosos Jr.’s much-anticipated fight stood tall to all the expectations. ‘The Takeover’ went down on the canvas in round 1 itself. However, he got back up and fought hard, flooring his rival in round 10. Both the men were violent with their shots, and they only seemed eager to score a knockout.
They were unsuccessful as the fight went to the judges where Kambosos Jr. scored 115-112, 115-111, and 113-114, to win the fight via an SD.
